Description

Sodium hyaluronate is [->3)-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-β-D-glucopyranosil-(1->4)-β-D-glucopyranosyluronic acid-(1->]n. It is a white powder, slightly soluble in water and almost insoluble in ethanol, acetone or in ether. Molecular Formula: (C₁₄H₂₀NNaO₁₁)_n. Molecular Weight: Average 600,000-1,200,000.
